<p>White male from PA
Scored 2400 in single sitting on second try of SATs
Composite ACT - 35</p>

<p>98.3% unweighted GPA, a few points over 100 weighted, but unsure.
Our school only does decile rankings, so in top 10 percent, likely 1 or 2 in class but unreported so doesn't really matter
Have taken AP Calc AB, BC, US History, Physics C: Mech, English Lang, and Stats - all 5's
2 more APs this year, and auditing two classes at a local liberal arts college
Have always taken the hardest classes available</p>

<p>Boy Scouts - Eagle Scout, Senior Patrol Leader for 2 years
Varsity Tennis - lettered
Key Club 3 years - Will have 100+ hours by graduation
Orchestra - Treasurer
German Club - Treasurer</p>

<p>I'm a little late to standardized testing, and haven't taken SAT II's yet, signed up for math II and either physics/literature for December. Undecided major, but interested in math/science. What are my chances of getting into a top tier school like Stanford/Harvard? Other schools I'll be applying to include Swarthmore, Penn State Honors College, possibly Carnegie Mellon. Do I have good chances for those schools? Thanks!</p>

<p>Penn State honors and CMU = safeties for you (90% or more). SWAT = match (66 - 90%). Stanford/Harvard are you applying SCEA or RD? Assuming the latter and that your SAT II’s are in the 780s or above, 60/40 at Stanford and 40/60 at Harvard.</p>

<p>Your test scores are fantastic in themselves, but paired with your extracurriculars, you totally shine. What I like is that you have a few, central extracurriculars that you appear to excel in. That’s something I really, really admire.</p>

Stanford/Harvard - of course they’re reaches for anyone, but for someone like you, I think you have a better shot than most. You’ll get in somewhere amazing, don’t worry :)</p>

<p>Please apply to more top schools. You have so much potential and schools will offer you a lot more than you would expect. Don’t waste what you have, you’re golden. I think you have great chances everywhere. In at your safeties and LOW reaches at the prestigious ones. Keep in mind, most people are high reaches at the most prestigious schools, and you are not.
