<p>I am a chinese female, i go to a large public school, i will be in the top 1% or so of my class (of about 350).</p>

<p>SAT: 2400 (First try) SATII's: 2400 (Math 2c, Bio, World History)
PSAT: 230 (78CR, 76M, 76W)
GPA: 4.0</p>

<p>APs: APES (9th), AP Physics B, AP Bio, AP World (10th)->all 5's
junior year: AP Lang, APUSH, AP Calc, AP Comp Sci A, AP Econ (both)->predicting all fives
senior year: AP Lit, AP Gov (both), AP Calc BC, AP Chem, and two-three more AP's that i'm still deciding on</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

<p>1) Youth Advisory Board of local library--since 8th grade
2) Environmental Awareness Club-co president, since 9th
3) Christian Club-since 9th, officer for next year
4) Robotics--since 9th, maybe officer
5) I write for our citywide teen newspaper, will be editor next year
6) i helped launch a teen court in our city, and i have been defense/prosecuting advocate on it
7) citywide environmental youth initiative to put recycling and compost bins in all schools
8) co-president of city youth council
9) member of city youth board, one of eight other teens
10)i launched a literary magazine at our school</p>

<p>Summers:</p>

<p>summer before 9th i was a people-to-people ambassador to Europe</p>

<p>last summer I went to Tibet and a local leadership camp</p>

<p>this summer i will be doing EPGY at stanford</p>

Like was it really necessary to write (first time) next to your 2400?? This just makes you look arrogant. But, answering your question, your in everywhere in my opinion</p>

<p>i could see you being rejected or waitlisted at WUSTL. MIT also seems semi-iffy because your ec's don't make it appear as though you're interested in math or science. your chances look pretty good overall, but just remember that even the best of candidates get rejected sometimes.</p>

<p>Pretty ridiculous! You have a great record of civic involvement, and if you highlight that on your app then you should be good. What are you planning on going into? Hopefully it has something to do with this, it seems like the top schools like having students who have initiative in their specific subject area.</p>

<p>A couple things you might want to consider (really I had to pick to find flaws in your app, and everyone has them, but I assume you're here for suggestions)
*<em>Your recognition is good within your city - you're obviously a huge citywide leader - but have you received awards on the national level? Probably not a huge concern.
*</em>You might want to order your activities differently - I'd say focus on the citywide stuff. Starting a teen court definitely sounds better than Robotics Club member.
*<em>Foreign language? Most of the schools you're looking at want 3-4 years of a foreign language. Maybe you just aren't taking it to AP level, I don't know, but you should probably have one.
*</em>MIT chances might be different...you don't seem to have much math/science related stuff. Don't really know what they're looking for though.</p>

<p>ummm. actually, apart from her SATs she does not stand out as much as people think she does... In the eyes of the admissions staff, her application will only look like "scores" and "numbers" if that is all she wants to endorse (which seems like the case since the title of her thread is 2400 SAT!!!!)</p>

<p>she's a leader not only in her school, but in her entire area - she's president of a major organization, and is going to be editor of a teen newspaper.</p>

<p>I think you do stand out and I think you're going to do great!</p>

<p>I agree that she will do great. But compared to students applying for schools like HYPS, columbia, MIT, GT etc..., she just doesnt stand out... That's not to say that she won't get accepted, she probably will at many of those places. But I don't think her stats are revolutionary.</p>
