25 days!!!

I didn’t see it, but you can probably make one for yourself online, ha. You could post it in the Penn thread so we can be just as spiffy as those Brown kids.

But, really, it shouldn’t be that hard to count, lol. 16 days 15 hours and 22 minutes.

lol alright. i have this widget thing on the sidebar of vista and it says 16 days 0 hours and 9 minutes so i thought that was kind of fishy. but theres no way to put in the hour of the event you wanna count down till :-P

durr we go

^lol…

…

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

15 days!

quick question: how long did it take penn to respond to your emails?

i emailed my regional counselor yesterday and she hasn’t responded ;-)

^ Ya same here!

do you think they’ve already started reading applications and making decisions?

i heard they review all applicant material and look to see if your financial aid was submitted BUT they dont start evaluating the applicants until AFTER thanksgiving break! Thats only 10 days to review 3500+ applicants! Thats 350 applicants a day if one person does it!!

Yeah… but it’s not just one person, ha. There are 26 people who work on the admissions staff. I don’t know if all 26 people read applications/decide who’s in/out… but I would assume the majority of the 26 DO read applications. Even if only 20 people review applications, each person would only have to read 17-18 applications a day (which isn’t bad IMO)… and if for some reason all 26 staff members read, each person would have to work on approximately 13-14 a day. Also, because admissions officers are reading applications before Thanksgiving break, the staff have probably looked at most of the applications before the break, so when they look over the apps after Thanksgiving, I doubt they need to read as thoroughly as they have already read most of the material.

But yeah, even so, I’m sure there is a ton of work and I’d guess the admissions office is probably crazy and super stressful this time of year.

17 more days!!

ArceaSon, how did you make that clock? Can you make one for my daughter? She will be notified ED Tuesday, December 15th at 5 pm. Making us a countdown clock may help you pass the time. I feel your pain/frustration/anxiety. Thanks!

Just changed the numbers in the URL =p

why does everyone say that decisions will come out on the 11th? i was under the impression that decisions come out on the 15th? can someone clarify this for me please

“December 11 Notification of decisions posted online (3 p.m. EST) and mailed to Early Decision applicants.”

That’s directly from Penn’s website, so I’m going with that.

I wish I applied ED to Penn. It was my dream school for years but I just thought I had no shot in h*ll. Now I’m regretting it… damn. I applied ED somewhere else… kind of regretting that too but I don’t have a great shot there either so we’ll see. Anyways, (I will stop venting) good luck everybody!! Penn is an amazing place.

Thanks, nirvanatear! I saved the countdown clock to my desktop.

i made it my homepage ^_^. and uh…now i regret it. i get nervous when i go online to check football scores or facebook. BAD IDEA. lol

ED decision comes one day before my grade photo day…so I’m doomed to look either gloomy or retardedly joyous.

“As nirvanatear awake one morning from a troubled dream, he found himself changed in his bed to a monstrous Penn '14 student.”
