26 days until the November SAT

I’ll definitely look into that! So far, I’ve still been prepping in math today. Probably going to take a full length practice test later.

@farouz,
What is your SAT practice score breakdown?

@Marie I didn’t do anything so far today. Video games are winning me over.

So scores are coming out Wednesday morning?

Well my sat practice was 1310 /:
I’ve done another one but u forgot my password ironically hahaha
Soo I made another one

I wanna ask u guys also something regarding the admission ticket

Am I supposed to write my full name in the admission ticket?
Or only the first and last name?
And is it supposed to match my birth certificate or country ID ?

I don’t have my own passport btw /:

I’ve barely done anything at all… Definitely not going to be able to do that practice test.

How do you think you did on the Oct. test?

@farouz,
My ticket has my first name, middle initial, and my last name.
The name on the ticket is supposed to match your ID, passport, or whatever method of proof you choose.

I think I got a 640-670 math, 600ish CR, and 600ish writing. Pretty mad because I did really well on the multiple choice for writing but probably got like an 8 on my essay(if I’m lucky) I’m still aiming for a 2100. What about you?

I just skipped the Oct one and moved it to Nov. I just wasn’t prepared at all and didn’t want to waste my time when I knew I would blow it…Plus, I was in another state at the time and would have to come all the way back by myself 3 days early.

Sooo, I’m guessing you haven’t done anymore in Grubers? Lol, I was gonna ask you if you thought it would help from this point on.

@Marie96 soo I’ll write the last name written on the I’d I choose?
And really thanks for the reply ! :heart: Appreciate that :*

I’m about 70 pages in, but I don’t have anything besides Chungs to compare it to. I’ll probably start Pwn the SAT just so I see which helps me more, and I’ll continue with whichever one I find more helpful. Grubers breaks it down to the very basics, gives you a ton of low level problems to build a foundation and then moves on to the harder ones. It definitely showed me my weaknesses and now I can skip to the sections I need to work on. It rally leaves it up to you to work on your weak spots.

Now that I think about it the scores will come out Thursday morning, not Wednesday.

@farouz,
Yes. Well, if you have made a CollegeBoard account, the name that you used to register for the SAT test date through them will be the name that appears on your admission ticket. Just make sure that the name on your admission ticket and the name on your ID matches.

@Reckie,
If it actually breaks it down and builds up gradually, I’ll just stop with Barrons right now and open up Grubers! The reason why I didn’t start out with Grubers first was because I heard that Grubers was tougher than Barrons and right now, Barrons is a little challenge for me. Btw, Pwn the SAT Math is pretty good! Haven’t used it in a while, though (around 2, maybe 3 weeks.). Last page I was on was 155.

I wanna try the Gruber’s book
I really need to develop my weak parts in math /:
No any idea if the book can be sent to me by email?
I didn’t find this book in my state

@farouz,
I actually had to order mine. I ordered all of my books from Amazon. They had all of the ones I wanted available. :)

Ohh okay /:
Gosh I really feel unready for novemebrr :expressionless:
Btw in which grades r u guys?
@Reckie and @Marie96

You’re not the only one, lol!!
I’m a senior, finishing up in Dec. How about yourself?
Also, what is you SAT score goal?

2 weeks is a lot of time. If you care enough to do a few hours of work a day it will go a long way. I’m a senior.

What’s your goal Marie?

It is, but it’s just about actually getting down to the studying. (I kinda crapped 1/2 of today away… but I did complete one whole chapter and learned some things! :))
I might just start the next chapter in Barrons tomorrow (reviewing mathematics) and open up Grubers.

Goal: at least a 2000+

I’m starting to think that I need to sacrifice something. -Sleep.

I crap 90% of every day away. Video games. TV. Movies. All sounds a whole lot better than more work. How’s barrons? I have it, but haven’t started it.

Well, now I don’t feel so bad! Haha :wink:
It’s pretty good. I like it a lot! Very helpful and has good tactics in it too.

I have tons of Bio hw due Wednesday but that’s going to wait until Tuesday…night.
First priority is SAT. First on the list after I do everything else that I “have” to do, of course.

Didn’t do my vocab today either… I guess 45 words tomorrow :x

Marie I go the same goal as well.
I’m a junior and Nov is my first test to crack.

I’ve done trials last year so am not new to SAT
Heading for 2000+ as well !

@Reckie,
Wow! Good luck with that! Don’t procrastinate on it today either!

@farouz,
Yeah, I think it’s a realistic goal.
What section is your main weakness with the SAT?
