26 days until the November SAT

No school tomorrow!!

I got a 610 on my psat in junior year then 690 in June (of junior year) and a 760 this past test. I used the New SAT game plan by Philip Keller and then just kept taking tests. Good luck

I can’t seem to avoid careless mistakes! like a lot of them! I even go as far as bubbling the wrong answers and calculating the right answer and the selecting the wrong one. Any tips anyone? I fear I might freak out in the exam hall.

@ Spykid: Go to youtube and search for SAT grammar bootcamp by waystoimprove.

I’m analyzing my results on practice sections and a ton of my mistakes are because I don’t read the section properly -_-

I despise writing though :frowning: Fixing sentences is my worst section ever.

Hey Reckie I’m a senior and got on the October 6th SAT with a tiny bit of prep 720M, 640CR, 690 Writing MC: 71, Essay 8

I am thinking of taking the December 1 sitting. How should I prep for the CR to get a 700?

I’ll be honest I was astonished when I got my 700. I didn’t study for CR at all. I find it tedious to read passages for studying. I think the best way to study would be to learn the “tricks,” such as avoiding extreme answers, reading the passage like it’s the most interesting thing you’ve ever read in your life, and some people like to read the questions before the passage.

Best of luck to everyone! I’ll be retaking in January, since I have some other things going on the same week in December.

5 More days

Not sure what you were specifically asking.

@marie96 thats what i wanted thankx a lot! :D

Well just took a practice test - 740 on CR and W - 560 on that annoying MATH! It’s driving me crazy!!

@dzzallday,
My math is around that! My problem is that I feel like I understand the information and everything, but when I take a practice section, I totally bomb it…

Hi guys! Hopefully it’s not too late to join this thread? :slight_smile: I’ve put so much time into studying for this test in the past month and my practice test scores are just now finally getting to where I want them to be! My math section is still the same though :frowning: I get 570 on EVERY practice test, no matter how much I practice or I think I learn. I guess it’s too late to do anything about that now… I’m just going to focus on practicing vocab cards and thinking of essay examples for these last few days :D

Hurricane Sandy has stolen my internet and lights. No studying here.

Hey guys!

Iam taking november SAT too… It is my first and last SAT. So, i need to really get a good score, atleast above 2100.

My maths scores are above 700. Writing section is also good except the essay part. The problem is that iam an international student, an asian. So, it is diificult to come up with historic examples. Besides, i have not read any novel too. So, any advice on essay part? Any good, versatile list of examples that is appropriate for me to do in just remaining 3 days?

Iam not good at CR section. I score in the 500-600 range. Can i improve it in just 3 days? Any good tips? I have done direct hits and hit parade for vocabulary!

Please help me!
