27 available seats, but Telebears only gives me the option of the waiting list? Why???

Those are reserved, go to the Schedule of Classes, search for your class, and click on restrictions or something like that. It should break down the categories of students they reserve seats for.

However I’m still confused. How could those 3 reservations be full, yet the class as a whole still has seats?

For example, it says “Seats have been reserved for: … 2. Students with a class level of Freshman - FULL”

I’m a freshman. If they’re reserving seats for freshmen, and they have 27 available seats… why are they using the waiting list for a freshman who needs the class? It doesn’t make sense to me.

EDIT: after thinking about this, I realize that they could be “reserving” seats for the “non-reserved groups”, i.e, anyone who doesn’t apply to those 3 categories from the source link I posted. still, this sounds more like a quota than a “reservation” for freshmen.
