To get into Columbia.I found out on collegeboard website that 29 ACT is what 50% of the students got.So if I got 29 on ACT i can have a chance of getting into Columbia? Why im surprised is that 29 on act is like 1900-1920 on sat...

I'm kind of confused by your post. If 29 on the ACT is considered to be the 50th percentile for all ACT-takers by collegeboard, which has nothing to do with the ACT, how does that relate to Columbia at all?

Columbia says on their website that "The middle 50% of admitted students scored between a 31 and a 35 on the ACT."

29 is clearly not in there. Of course, a 29 won't automatically garner you a rejection, but you'd have to be a pretty amazing candidate in all other regards to compensate for a 29.

i think he was saying that on the collegeboard website, the 50th percentile of the ACT for columbia applicants was 29. but obviously i would trust the columbia website over the collegeboard website.
