29 on ACT?

I scored a 29 on the ACT my first time taking it and i did relatively better on it than on the SAT which was around an 1800. Should i just go with my ACT score over my SAT because i have taken that one twice and I havent really shown any improvement and i have only taken one SAT subject test (literature). Also will my ACT score be good enough for schools like Tufts, Northwestern and Vanderbilt? or should i take it again and see if i can top my score?

Northwestern’s score range for 2009-2010 was 31-33. 85% of the students had a composite score between 30-36.

Vanderbilt’s score range is 30-34. Tufts score range is 30-33.

keep taking it.

My son raised his ACT score from a 31 to a 34 with zero study.

Even raising it a point or two will help, especially at the top schools.

29 is good enough for FSU, and perhaps good enough for UF, but a 30 or 31 would be better.

Yeah i think i might screw the SAT. For whatever reason i cant bring my score up even though i got like a 210 on the PSAT

You got a 210 on the PSAT and an 1800 on the SAT? How does that work?

i dont know i think because in the SAT there are like 10 sections and my has to keep gettting refocused on the different subjects. its like math okay and then its like reading and math again. But in the ACT there are 5 different sections for the 5 different subjects and i think my brain transitions better. THE PSAT also had only like 6 sections so i guess it worked better for me
