29k at usc or 42k at ucla

which would you pay to attend?

is it true also that things cost more at USC overall than UCLA ne ways so it compensates?

Btw, only 12k out of the total 47k at USC is going to be from the college's grants, the rest are subsidized loans and workstudy programs

how much is it without loans since those aren't real "aid" anyway.

anything in LA isnt cheap. but if you go to usc you will be spending more money anyway. believe it or not, the cost of living is much higher there. think of it as ucla is in a place with a lot of wealth already, while usc is in a poor area where you have to bring your wealth. hard to explain.

2500 in work study
1380 in fed perkins
2625 in subsidized fed stafford loans
and 11883 in univ. grant.

thats a total of 28718 I still need to pay and about 4000 in loans i need to pay back w/o interest

and could u explain the whole deal with being in usc being more expensive? Cuz i know the distance between the colleges is not really that much.

bump plz addd

nevermind, i see you're out of state. in that case, usc is definately cheaper.

Where are u from because that matters if your from arizona then go to usc, but one of the main reasons sc is a good school are the connections. I'm from california but have relatives back east in nyc who think usc is university of south carolina, now comon do u want to be confused with that hick town when your applying for a job back home. But on the otherhand if u want to live in california, which i think u will after living here, go to sc make the connections and live in sunny southern california. Hope this helps, by the way ucla has a better reputation across the country for both the academics and the bball
