2nd, 3rd, 4th tier mba schools

I know there are plenty of people on this site with experience in top mba schools. However, I want to know which mba schools offer a competitve experience, but may not be in the top 15 or 20? Also, no interest in moving in going to a school in the northeast. For example, Emory.

Rather than obsess with things that may not be important in the larger scope, where do you live and what would you like to do with your MBA? That can help identify a good fit, I think.

live in VA and did undergrade at SC. Just looking for the whole experience for an mba which includes a good city and school. To me, equally important. I have been living inbetween so open to anywhere from Pittsburgh to Dallas even. I want to stay in the insurance industry with risk management and at some point start risk consulting. Want the mba not to just get a high paying job but to keep learning and growing
