2nd Bachelors Degree

Question...I have a daughter graduating in May, a son who is a freshman this year and a son who is a senior in high school and will be attending college in the fall. My question has to do with my daughter who is graduating in May with a BS in Psych. She has now decided she wants to be a nurse, and will be enrolling in a local college to get her nursing degree. When I submit the FAFSA, do I state I have 3 children in college? Does it matter that one of the children will be working on her second degree? Is this a consideration?

Thanks!

Go ahead and list 3 in college.

Is FAFSA offered to those going for their Bachelors? (That’s of course if they qualify?)

FAFSA is just an applications for federal student aid so not sure what you’re really asking! Most federal aid is only available for students until they receive their bachelor’s…so most likely whatever you’re looking for, the answer is yes…

The Pell grant pays for undergrads including baccalaureate degrees.

No Pell or SEOG for students who have already received a bachelors degree. Many schools (most?) do not award institutional grants for students with a prior bachelors degree, either. Aid for 2nd bach or post bach is usually limited to loans, and undergrad cumulative maximums apply.

thank you all!
