2nd choice major

<p>Anybody know which UCs consider you for your second choice major if they don't admit you into your first choice?</p>

<p>Berkeley does not. UCLA only considers it if you have TAP and you select a non-impacted alternate. I believe all of the other UCs do.</p>

<p>Alternate major is considered; however, you must also have the major prerequisites completed (or pick a major that does not screen for prerequisites).</p>

<p>Alternate major is considered; however, you must also have the major prerequisites completed (or pick a major that does not screen for prerequisites).</p>

<p>UCLA</p>

<p>Alternate major is only considered for TAP applicants; you must also have the major prerequisites completed for the alternate.</p>

<p>Merced</p>

<p>Alternate major is considered; however, you must also have the major prerequisites completed (or pick a major that does not screen for prerequisites).</p>

<p>Alternate major is considered; however, you must also have the major prerequisites completed (or pick a major that does not screen for prerequisites).</p>

<p>All transfer applicants who meet the admission requirement established for a given application cycle will be admitted regardless of major (although not necessarily in your first choice major). You should select an alternate major if your first choice major is designated as “impacted” (make sure you choose a non-impacted major as the alternate).</p>
