2nd rejection letter

Actually, it was quite funny when I got this. I wonder why they would have bothered to reject me twice

did anybody else get this?

how mean! no, only one here, lucky you ;)

it was just very surprising because I thought.... what could this be, a possible statement that they fouled up tremedously in sending me the first letter.... but alas, I opened it to find an exact copy of the letter I originally got, oddly enough the dates on the letter were the same, I'm starting to wonder if they opened up two files for me and only evaluated each on partial information?

could nsm or byerly comment on what I should do or not do ?

Wow! What a downer.

You could call or e-mail them and ask what happened. It could have been a simple mailing error or it could have been the kind of possibility that you mentioned.

or you could just laugh. it's a screw up. move on.

yeah, I just called and they said I have one file on record

eh...... I wont be subject to cambridge winters :)

I'm warm blooded through and through

I'm sorry. :-</p>

There's always Grad School!

Is this like deja vu for you? I recall in one of your previous posts you mentioned a nightmare where the mailman was inflicting paper cuts on you by flinging rejection letters with force.

Ouch, haha. Sorry about getting rejected twice. Duke is an awesome school that you're considering though, and the weather will be nicer. :) I was rejected too, but it didn't hurt much.

wow, thats really mean...they must have thought you were very persistent in your app...they only reject the closest students twice

this post was not deja vu for me....

If two wrongs can make a right, maybe two rejections....

Exactly my thinking--take it as a double negative and call them and ask where your acceptance packet is. :)

I'll do that :)
