2nd Semester easier?

I was just wondering how this is at everyone else's school. It seems, for me at least, that all my classes have gotten easier second semester, now this may be due to personal factors (ADD medication :P), but I've noticed that things like test have gotten shorter.

Ex. My tests in History for first semester were longer and harder than my mid year exam.

So, has anyone else noticed this shift between 1st and 2nd Semester?

I've noticed a shift, but definitely not towards an easier time. All my classes have been assigning more homework and tests and more learn-it-on-your-own-time stuff.

easier for 2nd semester seniors yay

no...

thats when all the AP tests are <.<

having every single class be an AP sure is fun

I would rank it in quarters: 3rd quarter is the most difficult, followed by 2nd quarter, followed by 4th quarter, followed by 1st quarter.

All my teachers seem to stressing out. They're afraid we won't finish the curriculum by AP test time, or something. The sad thing is, school lets on in June for us, so we'll have 2-3 weeks of absolutely nothing after AP testing.

It's definitely gotten easier. ^_^ YAY SENIORS.

NO NO NO!!!!
Third quarter sucks at my school!!
All of my teachers are stressed about covering everything for AP exams. Also, their tests have been become much more difficult. Supposedly to help prepare us for the exams better.
argh....

WOW, I guess my school is weird, I guess I really only noticed this in History and Spanish.

I've never had this problem where the teachers are behind, usually they are ahead, usually even past where the students are :P

It's officially 4th quarter!!!!!!11!111!11one!11!11

2nd semester is harder! At least it is for me since I always lose motivation during 2nd semester.

I agree 1,000%.
2nd semester is always easier for me.
i always seem to pull of straight a's....
i think its because ive gotten use to the rhythm of my classes and know what is expected of me.

It's probably the same... Except that I've become so tired with everything related to school, it's harder and I learn concepts much more slowly

I think it's easier for those who have already gotten into college, whether by EA or ED or likely letter or early acceptance, etc.

Second semester means grades essentially do not matter anymore. Just don't get C's and flunk out of school.

But the courseload has not lessened or changed in anyway.

Psychologically speaking, senior year is winding down and seniors are just excited to be in college and spring break and prom, etc. Beach week too.

We're sick with senioritis :) AND THERE IS NO CURE.

But yeah, 3rd quarter is harder than 4th quarter.

After this month, there will be nothing until AP test time. That week I have my AP Physics final (old AP test), and my AP Spanish Language test (I could only afford one, even though I could take 6 APs).

And then after early May, a sea of nothingness. Well, not really. We're going to do a really cool project in AP Physics, but I'm not sure about my other classes. It'll be more relaxing.

What do most people do in their AP classes once the tests are done with?

1) Watch arguably semi-relevent movies (i.e., Mulan, The Emperor's New Groove) in AP World.

2) Write drafts of college essays in AP Lang.

3) Play with the leftover chemicals in AP Chem.

I think we're going to watch "The Little Mermaid" in my English class, and "La Vie En Rose" in French.

A lot easier for me. I have finally figured out the teachers, I have devoloped a new way of completing each teachers work the way I know they would give high scores.

In 3 of my classes we are finishing the ciricullum a month before ap exams. The other two ap classes Lang and apush are doing alright. Lang there is no real set material to cover, so its basically apush and we just finished ww2.
