2nd semester of senior year grade slip!!!!

I got accepted to cal poly pomona with a 2.8 gpa. my first semester of senior year i received a 2.8 but my 2nd semester i received a 2.2. which is pretty damn low. i took pre-calc (68), anatomy (74), chinese 4 (83), english 12 (78), ap give and econ (72). i'm just wondering because i got in with a pretty low gpa, would this get my admission rescinded. what can i do to prevent a rescind, i would prefer an academic probation, at least it would let me earn my admission back. also when is it safe to say that i won't be rescinded. i heard at the end of june they finish rescinded admission idk if its true. plz reply ASAP.

You need to call them and talk to admissions ASAP. You were low to begin with, but they are not going to like that D at all.

First talk to your HS guidance counselor and see what they send the college. Our HS only sends a transcript with the final grade (not the last semester) so if you are all in the C range you are probably OK. If the college does get the second semester grades, you can call admissions. Some grade slippage is expected, but nobody likes D’s.

I called the admissions office regarding my d in pre calc. They asked me if it was an a-g requirement and I said no because I already completed my requirement for math on the a-g list. And they told me that because it’s not on the a-g requirement they won’t look at it too heavily. Well I guess that is some sort of good news.
