I am a sophomore in my 4th semester at Binghamton University and am trying to figure out if I will have any real chance at being accepted to an Ivy league school as a transfer student.

My overall GPA through 3 semester (44 credits so far) is a 3.69
I had a 93.659 weighted average in High School.
Scored a 1240 on the SAT, 720 Math, 520 Critical Reading (terrible, I know) also had a 650 on the writing section
In a few honors societies up at Binghamton currently. Taking 20 credits this semester and would only be applying to transfer assuming I would be achieving a 3.8 or higher this semester which would bump my cumulative GPA to anywhere between a 3.75 and 3.82 or so.

Mainly looking at
Cornell, Columbia, UPenn

Any input would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.

Penn has about 2,000 applications for 175 spaces. Penn Admissions: Transfer Applications
Unless they have a yield of 100%, they accept more than 175 applications.

Transfer applications typically ask something along the lines of "why do you want to leave your current school and come to ours?" Your odds will be enhanced if you can provide concrete reasons why a given school to which you're applying better suits your academic needs than Binghamton does.

You honestly have no chance at any those schools. Most applicants transfering to Ivies have 3.85-4.0 gpa, interesting ECs, and a compelling essay. I didn't mean to be harsh, but the truth is the truth.

Yeah I don't think so. You should apply if you really want it. But I don't think your chances are very realistic at all. You don't have any interesting ECs, and your SAT scores and GPA are too low. Sorry. The Ivy League is overrated. Find a university that suits you personally.

Funny thing, how many people are trying to go from Bingh to other schools. I'm a freshman at Bingh right now (CIW!) trying to transfer into the exact same schools. Good luck!
