2nd Year Housing Fin Aid

I was wondering that if you live in VDC/VDCN next year, would you still receive financial aid to pay for the rent?
And what if you lived on off campus apartments?
Would the aid not cover it or would it only cover some?
If you're a 2nd year or above, I'd like to know how much you pay and how much fin aid covers!

I was wondering about this too, what time does our aid get disbursed to us?

Because I ended up getting a full year (Jun-Jun) lease, and I was wondering if I would have the financial aid in time to pay it this upcoming June.

You get a little less money living “off-campus” which includes VDC, norte and etc .

If you live at an apartment across the street you would be considered in this category as well.

Living on Campus Cost- 28,031.25
Living off-campus - 27,644.25

So a difference of 400~ish dollars in their calculations.

Financial aid more than covers my room and board .

Living offcampus at one of the courts it’s about 650ish for your own room and 500 for shared.

So they calculate about 10,000 in housing cost which is about right. 7k for room and 3k for food?

TLDR- Yes they cover all your room and board with financial aid

note that the specific amount of rent you pay will not affect your financial aid. it’s up to you to choose a housing situation that fits your budget. so it’s basically up to you to budget your financial aid money on housing & other expenses. they give you approximations, but you have to see yourself if that’s what you spend/if you really want to use up all of your financial aid
