I'm at the 90 credit mark where i have to decide a major, and im in the middle of deciding where I want to transfer. Is it too late to raise my GPA to get into a middle/top tier school?
If not, is there anything I can do to raise my chances besides the essay and ECs?

Maybe retake the SATs? I got a 1450 during High school.

I was looking at georgetown, but when i called they said their transfer applicants had a 3.8, so end of the road for that.

I live in Washington state, and want to go elsewhere.
Stanford?
NYU?
Boston university?
UCSB?
George Washington University?

I want to major in International Affairs.

Please help!

Stanford is unrealistic (they are more selective then Georgetown). I suspect that NYU will be a high reach, sorry I can’t speak to the others.

Am i screwed if i want to to transfer to a good school? ATM, im currently in a financial situation where I have to take spring quarter off anyway to find a job.
I really want to be in D.C. though.

I will admit that I am not the most knowledgable regarding transfer, but from my understanding a 3.0 will limit you in regard to top schools. There are plenty of good schools that are not as selective, though your entire list is extremely selective. You have to remember if you don’t even qualify to apply for Georgetown that should be a good indicator that schools that are more selective (Stanford) and schools that are close to being as selective (basically the rest of your list except for UCSB) are going to be extremely hard to get into.
