The attraction of 3/2 programs is the established agreement between the LAC and the engineering school by which an applicant from a LAC is guaranteed admission to the engineerig school when specific criteria are met. If you don’t meet the specific admission standards, it does not automatically follow that you won’t be admitted. I’d say it depends on the specifics of your candidacy and the past practice at your target engineering school. For example, I’ve read that the engineering school at UVirginia has been hospitable to transfer applicants whom had good but not stellar grades.</p>
