Hey guys,
I'm a junior pre-engineering major that is in the 3-2 engineering program in chemistry at my school. I have a 3.45 GPA and am on track to finish all the prerequisites. The only drawback to me is that I got a B- in Organic Chem Lab my first semester sophomore year, this makes it so I don't have guaranteed admission. The weird thing about this course is that it's a Major specific course for Chemical Engineering that I had to get a B in but I was supposed to take it at Columbia or the summer before. So my overall question is that anyone at Columbia who is in the 3-2 program got into Columbia with a B- in one course and no automatic admission? Is it even worth it to apply anymore since I don't have automatic admission?

Also on an unrelated note, would I be allowed to apply to Columbia 3-2 for Computer Engineering instead where Organic Chem Lab isn't a major specific course and be able to be automatically accepted even though I am a Chemistry major here? I am very interested in Computer engineering. And I would have all the Major Specific courses for Computer engineering aswell.

THANKS
