3-2 Engineering

I'm currently a sophomore at Providence College in Rhode Island. I've been debating over the last year whether or not to take part in this program and have looked at the positive and negative aspects of it. I am also considering either majoring in physics, economics, or math (and possibly a double between 2 of those aforementioned) if I decide not to do it. Providence College has a partnership with Columbia and WashU and I believe the minimum GPA needed for Columbia is a 3.00 and for WashU is a 3.25. Right now I have a 3.86 overall so I shouldn't be having any difficultly reaching those requirements if all goes to plan. I've pretty much ruled Columbia out since I don't like the idea of being in NYC and they don't have aerospace, which is what I'm looking for. I know WashU has a program but can I look at other schools outside of the two my school is partnered with? How does that work if I can? Can I just apply and am tossed in the pool with other 3-2 applicants? How will I know if they'll accept my schools credit? I was looking at other schools such as Georgia Tech and Notre Dame to name a few.

I'm sure I'll be adding more questions to this thread as it goes along.
Thanks to all that respond.

To be honest, this question should be geared towards an admissions officer or assistant located at Providence College.

Reading the 3+2 program web page it seems that you can an only choose schools that are affiliated with Providence, specifically WUST or Columbia.

You can apply as a transfer student to Georgia Tech. If you’ll still be considered a “3+2 student” is up to Providence - you’ll need to ask if they’ll still give you the second degree. To find out what classes will transfer, you need to contact Georgia Tech. Right now they have very few classes from Providence preapproved for transfer. Here is what is already approved:

DWC 101 -> PST 3102 History of Ancient Phil (3 credits)
DWC 102 -> HTS 1XXX Hist, Tech & Soc Elective (3 credits)
ECN 101 -> ECON 2106 Prin of Microeconomics (3 credits)
ECN 102 -> ECON 2105 Prin of Macroeconomics (3 credits)
MTH 132 -> MATH 15X2 Transfer Calculus II (4 credits)
MTH 223 -> MATH 24X1 Transfer Calculus III (4 credits)
PHL 103 -> PST 1101 Philosophical Analysis (3 credits)

(it looks like that was one student that transferred in his first year of credits).
