So, I currently attend the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology as a Junior. The school was ranked 1st in the state, and 3rd in the entire nation during my freshman year. Course load at the school is pretty crazy, with 7 courses throughout every year, and a mandatory 2 month internship Junior year. At the moment my GPA is a 3.2, I severely overestimated my abilites freshman year and only acheived a 2.8. Sophmore year I managed a 3.6. So far, halfway through first semester of Junior year, I have a 4.0 (all unweighted). I scored a 238 on the PSAT (2380~ on the SAT). My course-load freshman year was:
- Engineering Concepts
- Gifted Language Arts
- Accelerated Intergrated Geometry
- Gifted Physics
- Gifted Chemistry
- AP Human Geography
- Spanish I.

Sophomore Year:
- Engineering Applications
- World Literature and Composition Gifted
- Accelerated Intergrated Precalculus
- AP Biology
- Robotics and Mechatronics
- AP World History
- Spanish II
- Scientific Research

and my current Junior year courses are:
- AP Calculus BC
- Advanced Genetics Gifted
- Spansih III Gifted
- AP Statistics
- AP U.S. History + AP U.S. Gov (taught together as a block course).
- American Literature and Composition Gifted
- Internship

I wanted to know how heavily this courseload would affect college admissions officers' views on my GPA. Can I still manage to get into a high level college (Ivy League?). I took AP Exams for the 3 classes I've taken, and recieved a 5 on AP Human and AP Bio, and a 4 on AP World. Other than Ivy League colleges, I'm currently considering Johns Hopkins, Emory, and Vanderbilt. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this entire post and respond.
