3.3 GPA - 2000 SAT - Business Suggestions to apply for before 1/15?? QUICK

Hey,

So anyway,

I have a 3.3 unweighted gpa (i know, just okay..)
but a pretty good SAT: 2010 (1400 M + CR)
and great, but not spectacular extra currics / essay

i basically applied to a bunch of public and privates in Cali. But, are there any good colleges with a solid business major that would be a good match for me anywhere in the country with either no supplement, a supplement without a essay, or a supplement with a short essay that I can still apply to? I know most deadlines are in 2 days at 1/15. ANy suggestions that would be good matches outside of CA anywhere in the country? haha thanks

i've applied to:
USC
Santa Clara
SDSU
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
University of San Diego
&
Chapman so far..

basically the 2-7 business shcools in california. (berk is 1) i didn't apply to UCs cus they have bus economics while i wanna do straight up business.

so any suggestion for schools that might be slight reaches / high matches for me with my stats with good business programs anywhere in US that I could apply to quickly in the next 2 days haha?? can you throw out some ideas??? lol thanks!!!!!

Dude, yo, hey, like wazzup bro.

Nothing like planning ahead haha lol rofl lmao omg ttfn.

Based on your detailed explanation of your interests, skills, and geographic preferences, I think you should apply to any random school anywhere.

Good luck!

lol

well i want:

-good business program
-fun school (not necessarily party school / but like good intramural sports / ballanced school / happy kids who like to hang outdoors / have fun and whatever / college experience / relaxed)
-warm weather (which is all my schools in CA) which was my original plan, but i decided i might as well apply to 1 or a couple cold weather or other places in CA to see…
-any size as long as its not too small - id prefer 3,000+

that’s basically it haha

thanks for any input / suggestions.

Okay, thanks. That’s still not a lot of information to help you choose from the thousands of colleges around the U.S., but I’ll take a stab at one.

I’ll suggest Northern Arizona. It’s medium-sized, not too big, not too small, decent weather (not always very warm, but not especially cold), and a good quality of life from what I hear. Not far from California, and not too hard to get into.

[Northern Arizona University - Home Page](http://www.nau.edu)

What do you think?

hmm looks interesting. thanks for the suggestion! it looks like its a decent school, prolly be a safety for me.

im more looking for small reaches / high matches for my out of state schools though. sounds like they accept 75% of their students. im looking for something a bit better academically. ;)

thanks tho.

any other suggestions?

any other suggestions before i go to bed / i need to apply like tomorrow so anyoneelse haha?? thanks!!

You need good math, good economics, and exceptional english/writing/analysis skill to do anything decent in business.

Apply to as many of the UCs as you can. I know many skilled business/marketing types in corporate california who got their degrees from one of the UCs.

Babson in Wellesley, MA and Bentley in Waltham, MA both specialize in business and I think are in your range. They have Jan. 15 deadlines.

Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. No supplement required. Good size. If you care about rankings, Business Week ranks them #34 in undergraduate business programs. USNWR ranks them #18 in Entrepreneurship. Also #1 in Texas for CPA Exam Pass Rate! The people there are really nice, too.

Indiana University, Kelley School of Business. They have their own app. but there is no essay, nor any teacher recommendations, required. Very easy to fill out.
