I'm currently a freshman and want to get into Emory's nursing school. my classes are not going as well as I wanted them to go so my gpa for first semester is going to be around 3.3. the website says average gpa is 3.46 for accepted students. i know they look at other stuff like volunteering and such. how important is gpa compared to other stuff. i really really want to be a nurse but i dont know if im going to get in. i dont know what to do. any advice is appreciated

You still have three more semesters to raise your gpa! Just focus, focus, and… focus!! You’re very close to the average, and you have enough time to surpass the average. Also, if you “really really” want to be a nurse, even if you don’t get into Emory’s program, here are a lot of other programs you can check out that will lead you to nursing. Good luck! :)
