A 3-3 law program allows students to do college and law school in 6 years instead of 7. Does anyone know what colleges have a 3-3 law program and with what university they have it with? Thanks.

GW (George Washington) does, I toured the campus and really liked it and they have a top tier law school. Location can't be beat, but VERY, VERY hard to get into...

any others?? im interested also

I am sure there are but not any others that I know offhand. I know that Northwestern has a combinded engineering and law program. But think it still takes 7 years. I really think as far as the combinded programs go, GW is the best. Its an awasome school, top law school with all the big firms recruting on campus, DC for internships and such...how can it be beat?

Wash U St Louis
Union College/Albany Law

Loyola University Chicago has a 3-3 law program, where the 4th year serves as the culmination of undergrad school and first year of law school.

Columbia has it also. Maybe not 3-3 but definitely within 6 years.

Occidental and Rice both feed into Columbia Law for accelerated JDs, but as both are really good schools, the program is quite competitive.

A number of LACsparticipate in the Columbia program however one applies while in college. I believe the junor year. It is very competitive.

Dickinson hasa 3-3 program. U. of Richmond doesn't but they have a deal that if your SAT's over over a certain number (forget what) and you maintain a 3.5 gpa while there, you can be admitted into their law school withuot the LSAT.

Hopeful1, more than just rice and Oxy have this program with Columbia? Where else does?

accepted at usc, usd, occidental and ussb ...... which one??

I don't think any but Occidental have an accelerated law program. However, there are certain reasons to choose the other schools, from location, atmosphere, cost, programs you're interested, student interests, ect.

I know someone who started at NOVA in Florida for a program like this (2-3 years ago). She only attended for one year though b/c most of the students were older commuter students. She transferred out even though she knew this before she attended.

University of the Pacific has a 3+3 law program.

I know it's very respectable in Nor Cal. Graduates have held high level position in government.
Scott Boras also recieved his law degree from here btw.

how hard is it to get into the GW program, can you get in once attending the school or do you apply as an HS senior

I think Rutgers has one.
