If I applied ED Round 2, is there any realistic chance?

Thanks.

There is NO chance if you don't apply.

hey, its def worth a shot, however, people on this board w/ better SATs and higher GPA's did get rejected for ED1

they seem to like athletes i think. if you write the best essays of your life and get some amazing recs you have a good shot. i got in with a 3.7 uw 1370 sat, (which i bumped up to a 1420, but they didnt ever see that score). they definitly look at way more than your grades, because i know people with higher scores, etc that didnt get in. if youre 1st sem grades of your senior year are good, maybe write one of your essays explaining how youve grown over the past couple years and how you are a good fit for emory. if you give them a reason to let you in, and make them take a second look at you, then you definitly have a chance. and maybe take the january sat in case you get deferred?

hey you sound like me! (minus the male from ca part)
i had a 1390, 3.4 w GPA (i feel ya on the competitive private school thing)last yr and got in ed1
i think a big question is the baseball thing, bc emorys baseball team is really good, have you spoken to the coach and stuff like that? (i know they dont recruit but still...)
does your school rank? if it does, thats more important than your gpa
i think you have a shot definitely, especially bc youre a male and i assume emory wants more of em seeing as its like 60:40 female:male ratio right now (assume being the key word, i really have no idea if emory looks at gender)

hey man i got in early I with a 3.5 uw, 4.0 w and 1340, crappy sat II's, really good ecs, recs, good essays. Make sure you spend alot of time on your app, and at the end see if a person can tell who you really are by looking at the paper you send. deff don't do common app and type up a resume. go out and buy a book called "how to write a killer app" by some women, and follow that to the tee. with your scores it's really going to matter how you come across in your app. good luck
