3.5 GPA and 29-31 on ACT

I have a 3.53 GPA and am scoring around 28-31 on my ACTS. I plan on majoring in either Film, Screenwriting, or Journalism. I have really strong EC’s for my planned majors:

1.directing, writing, producing, and growing my own your theatre company with a partner (7 years)
2. heavy involvement in the school theatre company,

3.editor and staff writer as well as the creator for a news show for the school newspaper,
4.professionally trained in act at Stella Adler Studio,
5.volunteering with disabled children interested in theatre,
6.writing and publishing five one act plays/ directing 2,
7.creating and studying film at NYFA,
8. president of german club,
9. employed in the elementary drama program as an acting teacher,
10. selected peer counselor
11. canvasser for HSDA

How much of a shot do I have for any of these schools?

You appear to be right around the average for most of your schools (assuming your GPA is unweighted, not weighted). Your extracurriculars are manifold and specific to your interests; you can tell what you’re passionate. As longa s you write strong essays emphasizing this passion, you should be fine for some of your schools, if not most.

my gpa is weighted but my unweighted is like a 3.48… our school only puts our weighted gpa on our transcripts- if that means anything

If you are applying to Tisch and other Film BFA programs, there is no conceivable way for anyone on this site to “chance” you. None, whatsoever. Your academic stats are solidly within range, but the decision will be based on your portfolio submission. Tisch Film School has a lower acceptance rate than Harvard or Stanford. You could have perfect grades and test scores, but you have no chance if your portfolio fails to dazzle the reviewers.
