I was recently scrolling through some old threads and came across the “Where did your 3.0-3.3 child go to college?” thread and realized there is very limited representation of students who aren’t 4.0 1500 SATs on this site.
So this is a thread where you can discuss your journey to college and post stories of acceptances in this range to incite hope in all of us.
Graduated HS two years ago with I believe a 3.2 GPA. Was accepted to CSUF, SFSU, and Cal Poly. Denied from Long Beach and I believe wait listed for SDSU.
Ended up going to CSUF, and now in my sophomore year and waiting on transfer admissions decisions.
Applied for transfer with a 3.0 GPA. So far, accepted as a transfer at SFSU and SJSU, and I’m waiting on UCD, UCSC, and CSUS
I make the cut I suppose xD
I am a 3.3 GPA transfer Art Education major. I applied to 4 CSUs because of the cost, I might have been able to get into some UCs, but my closest one is UCR and their Education department hardly focuses on anything other than the usual Math, History, Science, English.
I got into 3/4 CSUs I’ve applied to so far!
Accepted: CSULB, CSULA, CSUSB
Waiting on: CSUF
I think my chances of getting into CSUF are high since I applied to a not so common major and being accepted to CSULB is a good sign for me since their art department is more popular.
I will probably go to CSUSB because I think the campus is beautiful and its literally a 10-minute drive from my house xD I am not attached to any Art department at any CSU, so my choice is for convenience and because of friends that go there.
