<p>Uhhh.... I'm ... almost completely sure that's not true :-P. Sorry. Geometry is a paradigm shift in mathematical philosophy by Euclid, resulting in his very famous book Elements, basing on axioms and syllogisms to create math. Algebra, I'm not too sure on, but India could make sense. CALCULUS on the other hand is extremely different than any mathematics before and I would not think anyone else created it other than Newton (debatable Leibniz), unless, of course, you show me reputable sources that point out otherwise, in which case I will humbly back down (or challenge them). As for my sources, it's generally easy to find information, but all that came from Leonard Mlodinov's "Euclid's Window".</p>
<p>Plus, as far as I know, India isn't even one of the great ancient civilizations, I doubt that they would have the minds and mental foundation to create something as sophisticated as mathematics.</p>

<p>According to "Gratz vs Univ of Michigan" over 90% of blacks admitted to medical school had GPA's and MCATs that would automatically reject a white applicant. The same case showed that 86% of blacks admitted fall into the bottom 10% of applicants in GPA and MCAT scores.</p>
<p>The differences in admissions rates mirror the racial disparity in accomplishment on every stage of medical licensing exams. Scores from 20 medical schools averaged over a three year period show that 46% of black students fail Step 1 of the various licensing exams. The 46% include those students who simply never showed up for the exam. For white students the failure rate was 4%.... which also included no shows. Thus cumulatively, 46% of black medical students failed to complete the first stage of obtaining a medical license compared to only 4% of white students and 2% for Asians. </p>
<p>More disturbing than even the failure rate of affirmative action minorities on the licensing exam, is that even among the students who ultimately pass the exam .... it's fair to assume that they are not going to be as successful as doctors as rejected students who are academically better qualified would have been. </p>
<p>One of the responses that we hear regarding med school race preferences is "well, what's wrong with racial and ethnic preferences because no one's going to be qualified to become a doctor unless they pass the exam" As far as patients are concerned, not only will there be fewer doctors, but the doctors who finally do become admitted are not going to be as good. The idea isn't simply to admit students who are able to scrape by with a passing grade after taking the medical exam several times. We should be trying to have the best possible doctors, not doctors who are simply minimally qualified.</p>
<p>And this is evident by the facts. The California Medical Board reported in 2004 (this was during a court challenge to proposition 209) that blacks lost their licences for GROSS malpractice at a rate 10 times higher than whites. </p>
<p>The all black run Martin Luther King hospital in Los Angeles was judged the worst in the U.S. and lost its accrediation. They finally had to bring in white management and medical professionals so the minority community could be served without having their lives endangered by virtue of sub standard medical care.</p>

I am black and way smarter than some of my white counterparts in my school however they score higher than me. It is not just me but also for some of my friends. I should have like a 33-34 ACT based on what I believe I am as smart as who got it but instead somehow I only got a 28.</p>
