Yeah, I feel that my GPA is the weakest part of my application. While my weighted GPA is a 4.41, my unweighted is a 3.79 (all because of 1 C in AP Spanish junior year). My ACT is a 35 and i have good extracurriculars with leadership positions, internships, etc. I don’t have too many awards other than a couple small scholarships and AP scholar and NMSF. My essays are good but not great since I do tend to procrastinate on them.

So far, I have been accepted into Georgia Tech and Alabama with a full ride (safety). I really can’t wait until April 1st!

@corvenzo
For me both my scores and GPA are weak, haha.
But congrats on the acceptances! No matter what, I’m sure you’ll end up at a great school. :3

@soyamoo
Wow! That’s a lot. It’s good you have lots of options, though! With that many schools, there’s no way you won’t be accepted to one you like. :D

@syoung2
That topic sounds awesome.

Congrats to everyone for getting through this app process. That’s an accomplishment in itself. :)

Any recommendations of 2nd tier schools as last minute application?

Not sure of 2nd tier colleges to suggest (I’d also ask that question in a college search thread or something), but jhu recommends three subject tests…
It’s not required, but it’s strongly recommended…
You could try taking the ACT in Feb. or the SAT again in Jan. (assuming you’re not taking more subject tests in Jan.).

**also applied to GIT…

@alexissss. thanks for the suggestion. i would love to retake SAT/ take ACT, but i m gonna have mid-term exam during mid-late Jan… So ya… don’t think i would have enough preparation for SAT nor ACT… thanks tho…

any other kind suggestions guys…?

It would be a dream to get accepted into any one of my reaches, but in all reality, I expect across-the-board rejections.

^I like your chances for the last two schools! I’m sure schools like upward trends. I have one myself!

My unweighted GPA will likely be a 3.7 flat - maybe even lower - after this term shudder. My weighted one, though, is considerably higher, and my class rigor is nothing to sneeze at, so who knows. I’ve aimed pretty high with schools, though, and while I’ve gotten into a couple, I’m not feeling optimistic about my reaches.

Reaches are always nerve wracking!

It’s good you had a rigorous schedule, though. That’ll help. :3

Bumpity.

How is everyone? :)

Just anxiously awaiting acceptance letters!!! For real, these schools need to hurry up I just need to knowwwwww

I’m so with you! Forgot all about this thread, lol!

Haha, hope everything worked out for y’all!!
