3.7 (unw), 2100, what schools are missing from this list

this is a fascinating thread (for me) to see how the list of colleges have evolved over time.

2nd SAT scores, moved up 100 pts. As I look over the list, I think 100 points on the sat should make a difference in some of the categories but I just don’t see it. I guess the problem was that the 2100 was a little high for the gpa and a 2200 doesn’t improve a weakness.

agree?

rc - 750
m - 740
w - 710

five ap classes to date (one 5, four 4s)
3 credits from suny
9 college french credits
five ap classes senior year
sat2s - 750, 740

plan is to have 3 schools for each category. We still have some work to do!

far reach:
brown
amherst
Wesleyan ( ED)
Carleton

reach:
hamilton
mcgill
emory
univ michigan (ea)
grinell
oberlin
boston college

match:
bates
colby
bates
nyu (not stern)
tulane (ea)
colgate

safe:
binghamton
suny geneseo
northeastern (ea)
hobart
american

definitions:
safe school - using naviance, stronger stats than 90% of all accepted candidates
match - using naviance, no one shown with same stats has been rejected
reach - using naviance, 20% acceptance with same stats
far reach - using naviance, 10% acceptance with same stats

American uses “level of applicant’s interest”. Beware of considering it a safety.

Are your safeties definitely affordable?

yes, we can pay for every school on the list. thanks for the tip on american. actually, as I look at the list, I’m not sure colgate shouldn’t be a reach.
