hello! im a currently junior year with a sad 3.8…(i was hoping for a 4.0) BUT i really want to major in engineering. I’m such a hands on person and i know i will love dealing with what it offers…Chemical Engineering to be exact. What i want to know is what chance do i have to get in?? I have a 1600 SAT and i have yet to take an ACT. (not sure if i should do it) I have won 1st place in science and music at a national competition. (Academic Decathlon) i have done 150 hours of community service and taken 4 AP classes
Get in where?
any UC or Cal Poly preferably!
I guess people were just supposed to guess that…
Calculate your CSU/UC GPA: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
SLO uses 9-11th grades in their GPA calculation while CPP and the UC’s use 10-11th grades.
Excellent test scores.
You will have no problem getting into CPP and the majority of the UC’s. Your UC GPA capped weighted and Fully weighted will determine your competitiveness for the rest of the top UC’s along with your EC’s and essays.
You might want to look at Stanford and Cal Tech if you want ti stay in California.
