@HRSMom That’s true I really hope my Common App essays were powerful enough crosses fingers
That’s also true- just have to wait for 5 more days!
@techilliterate Even better There’s hope for you yet!
Also- thank you to everyone who replied! For the juniors/high schoolers that have read this, I’ll post my results once I get all of them- hopefully it will be helpful
Awe!! Thank you so much!! I think you’ll go places for sure, just write good essays, get good recs, and stay focused!! Best of luck to you
@techilliterate would you like to post your results for future applicants?
Alright guys: it’s time to tell you the results. Sorry for not posting them earlier- I was just wanting some peace and quiet to process as I… did not get the best results.
I was rejected from most of my RD schools (Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, Williams, Swarthmore, Dartmouth, Duke, Columbia) and waitlisted at UChicago, Cornell, and Georgetown.
Thankfully, I still have two relatively decent state schools that I applied to in the early rounds- U of Minnesota- TC, and U of Wisconsin-Madison.
I’ll be posting a more in-depth reflection on my college process + be giving more advice in the future.
Take heart though- if you are in my same situation, you never know how things might play out for you, so I urge anyone reading this to still apply to reach schools- you really never know unless you try. However, always have a list of solid schools that are safeties + that you would be comfortable at. Cannot stress this enough. Good luck to all future applicants!
@User1555 Thanks It aint over for me yet

@privatebanker Thank you so much for your kind words It sounds like your daughter landed some great schools! She seems to be an very disciplined and hardworking girl, and I bet she will do wonderfully at any college. And it’s absolutely wonderful that she has parents that know the most important thing is character and that everything else is secondary.
Thanks again- I will definitely update when I hear back from my waitlist schools :-S
Good luck to your daughter for her WL’s as well- I’d love to be updated if she were to get accepted at any of them!
