I have poor AP scores, but I have decent SAT 2's and ACT. My GPA was very unstable throughout highschool so I am wondering where I am matched against people with lower SAT 2's but all 5's on AP Exams.

Are Stanford and Columbia possible for me?
Also chance me for UC Berkeley and Cornell engineering programs.

Those seem to be reaches to me.

Those schools will be reaches, so I’d try to improve your SAT’s. Your SAT II’s, EC’s, and Awards are really good though! At this point just make sure your essays are as good and reflective as possible, especially for Stanford. Chance me back?

Your sub-700 writing score will hurt your chances, so don’t submit that. The only thing that may confuse admissions officers is your up-and-down GPA over time, but hopefully you have a way to justify those dips.

However, your SAT II’s and ACT are strong, as are your ECs, so all schools are certainly within the realm of possibility!

Oh yeah, I didn’t even see the ACT score… Yeah, then only submit that score. With that score, you are strong candidate, but just remember that schools like Stanford are a crapshoot for everyone… Good luck tho!

I think you have a chance. You GPA is subpar for those schools, but it is still a good GPA. They won’t toss you aside, it’s not on the low side.
To really boost your chances, focus on your essays and how much interest you show in schools. That is really important. Find something you love and accentuate that as much as possible, and then I think you are a strong candidate.
Chance me back?

Thanks! Will chance back
I’m hoping my ACT/SAT2/Siemens award pull me through.

Chance me for Berkeley cornell and columbia though?

3.85 will not make or break you…

But I definitely think your ACT score will get you into either Stanford of Columbia

Chance back please… I said please http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1585363-11-days-until-johns-hopkins-ed-results-chance-me-chance-back.html
