3.88 uc gpa

Do I have a chance of being admitted to UCB?

California resident.

I know it's under UCB's avg UC GPA, but I'm still hoping there's a chance

UW or W?

This was me
UW W
3.772727273 4.136363636
My SAT Reasoning was 2070, Math2 was 790, Bio-E was 770
I got in, spring admission though

uc gpa is weighted uc way. 8 points capped on uc-approved honors/ap courses
i got in with a 3.6 unweighted and 3.95.. uc-weighted... = = i feel.. lucky?
2040, 800,740, SAT's
fall '08

depends on the essays.....

Wait... there's a UC UW and W gpa? I thought it was just solely UC gpa... and mine happens to only be a 3.87 or 3.88

I'm still working on my essays, hopefully they'll be good... Unlike everyone on here, I'm not going to proclaim that my essays are fantastic because they have only been read and edited by one other person who pretty much destroyed it with red ink :( .

My highest SAT I score is 2130, and my SAT II's are 720, 740 for USH & Bio respectively

to calculate your UC W GPA

Add up your a-g grades, add 8 (assuming you have had 8 semester units of UC honors recognized courses), and then divide by the number of semesters of a-g courses

uc gpa of 3.75 here, currently enrolled at UCB in the CoE.

Do your best on your essays and you have shot.

Thanks for the insight, System.

Bump - any insight would help

wow, 3.88 was EXACTLY my UC GPA and I got in =).
Though I did take a ton of AP and Community College courses, did a lot of extracurricular work, had good test scores, and I thought I wrote a good essay.

Be sure to take a rigorous course load senior year and don't slack off. (ie. dont get infected with senioritis)
