Hi guys,

I'm a sophomore this year who attends a very competitive high school in a very competitive region. Most of the above average kids are taking 2 AP's and some are taking three, like me. Here's my schedule:

AP Physics B
AP Chem
APUSH
Spanish IV
Precal H
English 10 H
Study Hall
Gym

Like I said, most other kids take AP Chem & APUSH, but I'm only one of 2 who are doubling up on Physics and Chem. There are kids, however, who are taking 3 AP's, although the AP's they're taking are not as vigorous as mine. I'm just wondering, will I be able to handle this? I had a 4.0 both weighted and unweighted freshman year, taking all honors classes.

Lol, *rigorous.

What’s your chemistry background?

Typo, my bad. I took 3 weeks of Fast-Paced High School Chemistry at John’s Hopkins CTY camp.

So you’re well prepared for AP Chem?

I think you’ll be all right if you’re able to focus a lot on the first three classes on your list. The others shouldn’t be too hard.

I hope I am. At the end of the course, the professor, who is a high school AP Chem and Physics teacher, wrote me a letter/evaluation saying he believes I am well prepared for it. I’m just worried about taking all three at once. Thanks for your help :)

learn to manage your time, but equally important, don’t waste all your time on schoolwork. Get out and do some extracurriculars, seize the day
