For my tuesdays and thursdays, should I take 2 one and a half hour classes (psych and english) followed by a three hour math class (with about thirty minutes of freetime before the math)? Would that be too much for a day? I would have wednesdays and fridays totally free with monday at a bare minimum (1 one and a half hour class).

Is this a bad idea? Would my tuesdays and thursdays be overwhelming?

Should I instead opt for 3 one and a half hour math classes on mondays wednesdays and friday?

I did this before with a physics (E&M), math(Linear and DiffEq), and German class on one day and another math class(multivar. calc) on the other alternating day. It was doable while also working an almost full-time job, but the time I got killed was finals. Taking three in one day was a nightmare.

Final schedules do vary, so the OP’s school may have a different system.

The three-hour math class will be hard simply because it is hard to digest that much math at a time. Otherwise, three regular length classes would work.

I think you should be okay, but you may want to check the professor’s ratings on Rate My Professors dot com (take out the spaces, and change the dot to a “.”). Also, is this math class an algebra/trigonometry class, or is it calculus or beyond. If the latter, only take the three classes you’ve signed up for, as you will be plenty busy.

Are you working? If youre a full timer CCC student I wouldnt say thats too much.

Sent from my SGH-T959V using CC

I do this every day, it’s not bad.

I might start working part time after I adjust to college life. I registered for classes yesterday and so far I don’t have three in a row but I might try to waitlist/add a class so there will be three in a row but only an hour and a half philos class, but we’ll see.

Glad to hear some people can handle it for the most part, but yeah finals might kill me

How about on Mon, Wed, and Fri’s you take 3, one hour classes back to back, and then on Tue and Thurs, you take 2, one and a half hour classes back to back.? That’s what I plan on doing when I start classes at my CC. If you plan on working, make sure the classes each day are in the mornings so that you can work during the afternoons.
