Try to go the first day and add the class. Or try to see the professors on campus and ask them in person to get on the waiting list. Either that, or keep checking to see if people drop out of the class.

im in the same situation except i just added back up class that ill drop if i get into the ones i want. how do you get the professors email?

Check the Faculty Directory on your school’s website. Either that, or e-mail the Department Chair.

I’m lucky I have priority. I fear my situation after transfer.

random monkey, just click the course description link and scroll to bottom for professor’s email. the best thing to do is visit the professor in person ASAP. this sends the message that u r serious. i petitioned for 4 classes this semester but i was in automatically since i talked to all my professors last spring and told them i needed these classes. and i showed them my transcript to show that i’m better than everyone else that is petitioning…

I think everyone’s having a hard time getting into classes they need… especially with the increased enrollment. D: A lot of the classes I need/want are full, too.

It’s not going to be a big deal if our January update for planned/IP courses is completely different right?

I’m probably not going to get into some of the classes that I put down.

It is ok for your Jan course update to be completeley different from you November application. The most important thing is that you still finish IGETC and meet as many pre-reqs as possible. Another thing you can do is try to enroll in classes at another nearby community college.

I’d try to stick with your original courses. My loan got denied cause I didn’t follow my student ed plan by not taking a specific course this semester and substituting it with a class I was going to take in spring. I had no idea I had to stick to it and now I’m out $5000.

lakerforever24, k thanks for the advice im going to get right on it

first day always wins. there is always a free space…if not…stick with the class for two of three weeks and by that time pleanty o ppl will have dropped. you always start with like…40, and end with like 5.
