3 courses + research too light?

Hi,

I've recently become very interested in pursuing graduate studies in law. I'm aware that top law schools focus primarily on grades and LSAT. I started with 5 courses early this semester but ended up dropping two engineering classes because I decided that engineering wasn't for me. However, by that point, it was too late to add on another class. I'm an economics + mathematics double major aiming for schools like Harvard or Stanford Law. Would they view 3 classes as too light? I'm still taking a normal coursework in terms of absolute units except its 3 classes + a research seminar instead of 4 classes.

They have your entire undergrad career to examine. If what you are doing is meaningful, then it is fine.

They’re not going to care at all. They don’t really scrutinize your transcript, and if you’re taking a normal number of credits, I’m not really sure what the issue is.
