does this mean you have to go every day for 3 days, or just one of the three, or what?

I'm pretty sure it's 3 days long, and you stay over in the dorms during those 3 days of orientation.

You have the option of staying in dorms or staying at a hotel, but they recommend staying in the dorms so that you get the "full experience."

I didn't get this email, or maybe I did and I just deleted it. When did it go out? And what's it say?

Ahh thank you.

Should we go alone? Parents?

Wondering the same thing. Anyone else going for letters & science?

Parents can come if they want. They can stay at a hotel or choose to stay in a dorm lol.

@dmission: I am. :]

dmission,

I'm going to letters and science too.

Though I might be going to the STEP program so yeah :/

You stay in the dorms for two nights, altogether it's a 3-day (more like 48-hour) program. Unless you really need your parents or if they're really clingy, I would advise that you just go by yourself. It will be good practice for the fall!

you never see your parents (unless you want to) so its not that big of a deal if they really want to go.

do we have to pay more if they come?

yes you do.

let's all find eachother and have the CC group hang out haha

Not to worry they keep us parents far away from you for the entire event. It is good to bring a parent though since orientation will answer a lot of important questions about paying for Davis, health care, registration etc. I never saw my d, met many nice parents, and was able to help my d better navigate the process of becoming a college student. I think the orientation is well worth attending.

im attending the letters and science one but i dno if i should drive or fly from socal

ill meet u ally in the ally behind the library at 2:47 AM

ahem i mean...
see you all there!

Does being in a later orientation mean that you'll get the worst classes/teachers or the ones that no body wants? The College of Engineering has the last dates! =(

Nope, UCD reserves a certain amount of space for each group so that no one has an unfair advantage.

Do I have to get the email before I can register? Did the email have anything important.
