3 in Chem, and/or Bio Self Study, how hard?

<p>D is a HS sophomore. She got an A (big woop) in Bio last year, and is on track for an A in Honors Chem this year.</p>

<p>She will be starting DE this summer at the local CC and I'm thinking for $90 why not take the Chem AP, and or the Bio AP, because a "3" would do in her case?</p>

<p>Her interest in the Civil Engineering and would be happy to never take another Chem or Bio class.</p>

<p>Is there a downside (other than $90) that I've missed?</p>

<p>Is the "curve" rather flat to get a 3?</p>

<p>Which dual enrollment class is it? I ask this because at my school there is a dual enrollment class for H. Chem, and another that is kind of a dual for AP Chem.</p>
