3 Letters of Recommendation or 4?

Most programs I am looking at require 3 LORs. I could find two professors who could write me decent recommendations and one professors who I had one class with and is basically writing a character reference.

To try and compensate for one weak academic reference, I have a professional contact, a principal in the school I work at right now, who is willing to write LORs for me.

Is it worth it to submit 4 LORs, even though programs ask for only 3? Will that hurt me in any way?

The application for Georgetown University won't even let me submit more than 3 people, which worries me a little bit.

Also, I’m looking at Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition programs, if that helps narrow down an answer.

When I’m hastily writing posts on the internet, I always forget stuff like that. I also forget to edit for grammar mistakes and clarity…oops.

Bumping because I am really worried about this.
