Hey, I’m a junior in high school who slacked off this year. I took basically no ap classes besides AP AB calculus because I was super lazy this year so I am pretty pissed at myself. I know I can do better because I am a hard worker, and I want a career in STEM (my dream school is Caltech!). Math is obviously a subject I need to excel in for Caltech, so I was wondering if it is a bad idea to take AP Stat, AP BC Calculus, and Multivariable Calculus at the same time senior year. I have always excelled in math, and I am very willing to work my @ss off, study all day, and do anything to succeed in MVC. Has anyone ever done this or know anyone who has done this? How much trouble will I have if I haven’t taken BC before MVC? Thanks for any suggestions.
I think you would be fine with one of the calculuses and AP Stats, not sure about all 3 though. I’m taking AP Calc next year and most likely AP Stats as well. I think 2 calc classes might be too much for you. If your dream school is CalTech, then I say go for it.
