So I self-studied Human Geography during the 2010 examination period and called to get my score. They said I got a 3???? I got low 5's on all of my practice tests and I was sure I aced the FRQs. I even compared answers and everything checked out. So right now I'm saying ***? Did I maybe mishear the recording?

Right now I'm hoping for a glitch in the system or something. Did anyone else get a 3 on Human Geo? I feel like a ritard :'( especially since a ton of questions on the test were about my home country.

By the way, I got 5's on all of my other AP exams:

Freshman Year:
US History - 5

Sophomore Year:
US Govt - 5
Human Geo - 3 (!@#$%^&*)

I doubt the system had a glitch. You can call for a rescore if you want - incase you feel they forgot to tabulate in the MC or something - but it’s unlikely it’ll change. It’s a self study so don’t even bother reporting it if you don’t want to - it won’t hurt you at all.

Assuming you manage to get credit for them in college, and since they look impressive on an application, I think good scores are worth the money, even if it involves a retake, especially since college classes are usually a lot more expensive than $85. But I’m from a family that believes that education is worth more than money (and we have enough money to be able to afford that belief), so that’s just my opinion.

Yeah, I get that. My family is the same way, but I was still raised very conservatively. However, Human Geography is probably a less credited AP at colleges.

Money is not an issue. I intend on getting National Scholar, but things will get hectic with 6 APs. I know a lot more people do many more APs on here, but I like to enjoy life…

@sd6: You’d be surprised. MIT gave me credit for a 5 in human geography, but not for chem, bio, statistics, or comp sci ab (also 5s). It really depends on the school.

I got a 3 on the APHUG exam my freshmen year. It was the first AP class I took. I didn’t really study for the exam as much as I should have, but I had a really great teacher.

Yeah, I somehow got a 3 on this… it was the lowest of my 8 self-studied AP’s, yet the one I was most confident on. I guess the curve sucked? IDK I’m right there with you though so I doubt it was a mistake
