3 questions about the commonapp - intl' student!

Hi,

I graduated high school in Israel in 2008. I have three questions:

1) Can I upload my transcripts or my counselor has to do that herself? I graduated 3 years ago and I'm not sure she'll be able to find them so easily... Can I do that myself?

2) Because I graduated three years ago and since I'm in the army for more than 2 years, I thought it will make more sense to upload a recommendation letter in the spot of one of the teacher evaluations spots..? What do you think?

3) In the Harvard admissions website, there is a INTL' supp. form, which has to be completed by my counselor. This form will appear with the other school forms my counselor will have to complete?

Thank you

Most universities require an “official” transcript sent directly from your high school, so loading one yourself will not work.

As for the recommendation letter, it depends on the requirement of the college in question. If they ask for recs from core academic teachers, I would make sure to fulfill the academic teacher letter requirement. Having a recommendation from someone in the military is a great idea: you can send that in addition to the required recs. Mail it directly to the admissions office, labeled with your name and important info, and they’ll automatically sort it to your file.

I don’t know the exact answer to your third question, but I would think it’ll show up for your counselor. In any case, it may be a good idea to mention the form to the person to make sure it is filled out.

Hope that helped. Good luck with everything!
