3 SATIIs needed for Class of 06?

I was...informed today that some colleges still want 3 SATIIs (even though the idea is new SAT + 2 SATIIs). Is this true? Apparently, I heard something along the lines of Stanford being one of those colleges, as well as many other private ones, and I'd like to know if it was true so I can plan ahead.

Thanks.

That's what my college counselor told me as well...I'm planning to take 3 SAT II's just to be on the safe side. Some of the colleges that I'm planning to apply to said that only 2 SAT II's are required for Class of '06 - so check out the websites of any colleges that you have on your prelimary list.

Anybody know what is the requirement for the UCs?

yes, most of the toptier ivys, including Harvard, still want 3 satiis. I'm just glad that I'm in the class of 2005.

Starting with the class of 2006, UCs only require two SAT IIs, don't they?

yes, UC's only require 2, from different disciplines. Anyone applying to engineering should take Math II (renamed from 2c)

It would be extremely unfair for schools to demand the new SAT I (which is longer than the old SAT I) and still require 3 SAT IIs. I don't see the point, as the new SAT I is basically the old one + SAT II Writing. Schools like Amherst and Vassar have already stated on their websites that the new SAT I requires only two SAT IIs.

UPenn has not yet decided on two or three

WOOT i have my three done :) math IIc physics chem... soon to be 5 :) :)

Brown's 2....

cujoe, why did you take 5 tests? Only 3 max are required. Why so many?

does anyone know if CMU wants two?????

every school's website that i have been to said that if you submit the new sat I that they require 2 sat IIs of your choice.

Williams still wants 3.
