<p>i'm looking into top schools and some require all SAT scores. So, how would they look at 3 SATs? (maybe 4). Schools like Yale, Cornell, etc.</p>
<p>i got a 2090 in May. I am signed up for the June SAT but don't know if I should cancel and just study my arse off for the Oct. SAT. My goal is 2300+. I haven't done much prep for this June SAT, but I would expect ~2200. The thing is, I KNOW for a fact that my CR score won't get higher than 730. That's the MAX. So, I'd have to bank on at least 750's in M and W to even get low-mid 2200s. So, I'd end up retaking.</p>
<p>But, since the tests are always different, I'm just scared that I might miss out on a test that would possibly 'gel' with me and I could score very high on. </p>
<p>Also, how would Yale and such schools look at scores that are 2090, 2200, and then 2320 for example? Would they not like that? I just don't want to have to submit lots of scores if they don't like seeing retakes.</p>

<p>I think you should go for the one and do as well as you can. If that means waiting, then wait. I just wouldn’t wait so long that there is zero option for retakes. But it is my understanding that retaking for less than 100 points (especially if it is not your first retake) is more harmful than beneficial.</p>

<p>And if I wrote twice and got 2090 and then 2300, how would they view the 2090? What would they think? Again, this is hypothetical but I would like to look at all viewpoints.</p>
<p>I think you should just take it twice. Like you said what if you do well on the first one? Based on personal experience I think it is a myth that top schools think taking the SAT a bunch of times is a bad thing. Perhaps they note that you are striving to do better? It’s just my opinion, I took the SAT’s 5 freaking times, took the ACT once and scored better on it than all 5 SAT’s, submitted all my scores and did just fine in the college game.</p>
<p>If you can get it up, absolutely retake.</p>
