Hey Guys, I just registered for the SAT Subject Tests for Math level 1, 2, and USH, all on May 2nd. Can someone help me with my study plan, How much time would I need to study for each or just any of them to get 750+, I haven’t received my score to the SAT 1 yet but I consistently score in the range of 640-670 on the math section.
Thanks
The SAT Math Level 1 is more advanced that the SAT Math. The best book is the PR Math Level 1 and 2 book. The Math Level 2 is covering Math Level 1 and higher. In case you didn’t know, it is basically a precalc test. I haven’t given the Level 2, but people on CC have gotten 800 in Math level 2 after using the Barron’s book. They also have taken precalc though. If you prep for the Level 2, you will be ready for the Level 1. However, you might now want to take both, since doing well on the Level 2 makes the Level 1 useless.
Thanks for replying, Do you know if there is a benefit to taking math level 1, everyone says level 2 is easier and level 2 even has the higher curve so would colleges see that I challenged myself and too a harder exam. I’m just asking because I still have about a month to prepare and I can change it to literature on the day of the test.
Thanks
The Math Level 1 would hold no benefit. The Level 2 covers everything the Level 1 covers and in greater detail and then it covers material that wouldn’t even show up on the Level 1. People also have higher Level 2 scores than Level 1:there is actually a thread for that on CC. If you can handle the Lit test you should take that, because the Level 1 doesn’t count after taking the Level 2.
P.S. If there are spelling errors, it’s because my autocorrect was "helping " me.
Go for Literature! Saco ring high is that test is really impressive, at least more than math level 1
