3 wrong on New SAT CR

Different tests/versions of tests have different difficulty levels, and hence different scales.

Each different version/form of the test is graded on a different scale. This process is supposed to standardize scores so that the ease or difficulty of the form you were arbitrarily handed does not affect your score. Whether it actually accomplishes this objective is very much open to debate.

But look at these:

Are both of them right?

well 2 wrong and one omit in June was 770. So i guess 3 wrong would be about 750?

May: Critical Reading 2 wrong, 0 Omit 800
Writing: Perfect 12 on essay, 3 multi choice wrong 770 whats up with that!?!?

May: Critical Reading 2 wrong, 1 omit 780; Writing 10 on essay, 3 multi choice wrong, 0 omit 740.

HiLine, yes, both of them are right. On a single testing date, there are multiple versions of the test that have different scales.

Your curves are nothing compared to my June curve...

M: 2 wrong 0 omit [740]
CR: 3 wrong 0 omit [740]
W: 1 wrong 8 essay [730]

That curve is pretty harsh, zh0u. Maybe your test was extremely easy to make up for it...

wow damn thats harsh. i got 640/640/630 on that test... come to think about it, thats EXACTLY 100 less than each of yours haha.

and i got 10 on essay too

Is that true?I 'd be a countryman,then.

yes, its true. friend got 2 wrong on math got 770 i got 740

I guess that was shocking to you, right?

Ooh, now I feel lucky. 5 wrong math and 700 (if 2 wrong is 740, I should have gotten a 650 by your curve!)

yep. my math was really shocking. cuz my friend (who got 2360 that fagtron ahah) got 1 wrong and it was 790 on math. and then i get my score report expecting like 4 wrong or something and i see 2 wrong. i freak out and im like DOUBLE U TEE EFF 790 --> 740?!?!?!?!

^_^
