Hi all CC members, I'm a new comer. So, i wanna ask that is anyone here got 3 year Australia Degree, but then transfer to study Graduate Degree in the US. In my situation, I had got the 3 years bachelor degree in Computer Science from James Cook University (Australia Degree but studying in Singapore campus), and I got 2.4 GPA (evaluated from NACES). I wonder if any school will accept my degree or at least let me study another one year which I lack. The case is that I had applied to Cal State Fullerton, and they told me that i have to finish my Golden Four then come back to apply again. I wonder if after i finish my Golden Four, they will let me continue my Master Degree or I have to start over from the ground. Thanks for help !

Many American universities accept foreign 3-year Bachelor’s degrees, but some insist on that 4th year.

If you want to get a 4th year of undergrad to qualify for more programs, it shouldn’t be hard to take classes as a non-degree seeking student somewhere. However, you should not expect those classes to count towards a future graduate degree. Graduate programs rarely accept transfer credits from other programs. (They might let you place out of specific classes that you have already taken, but they would probably ask you to replace those classes with other electives.)
